- After the passing of Harold, William (who was then known as William the Conqueror) was now crowned the new King of England.
- The end of the battle also put an end to Anglo Saxon rule.After the loss to newly crowned William the Conqueror and his Norman nobles, all former Anglo Saxon nobility fled to neighbouring countries such as Denmark, Scotland and Wales.
- Norman Rule lead by William the Conqueror changed England forever. Changes were made to the church, the language, the government and everyday life.These rulings lasted for nearly 300 years.

- The Normans would build castles to protect their territory and to enforce their new laws.All in all, the Battle of Hastings was a short-lived clash when the Normans were able to assert new leadership after their historical victory lead by the great King William the Conqueror.
