- The most dangerous game is about a man named Rainsford who falls off his ship, and is stranded on an island. On the island he finds a castle and meets the owner, General Zaroff. The owner is a hunter and traps humans on the island, to hunt and kill them. Rainsford is forced to be the prey to General Zaroff. Rainsford ends up surviving and killing General Zaroff.
- The gift of the Magi is a short story about a married couple who cherished two things in life, the women's long, beautiful hair, and the mans expensive watch. For Christmas, the women had no money to buy her husband a gift, she cut all her hair off to get money, she bought her husband a watch chain. Her husband sold his watch to buy her combs for her hair, that was now short
- The Necklace is a short story about a women who envied people more weathy than her. Her husband got her an invite to a fancy dinner, she complained because she didn't has a dress. Her husband gave her 400 dollars to buy a dress. Then she complained because she didn't have any nice jewelry, so she asked her friend if she could borrow a necklace. She ended up loosing the necklace , and replaced it with one for 36000, she had to spend 10 years paying back the debt, later on she told her friend the truth about the necklace, only to find out the necklace was fake.
