- The Civil War was a major war in the United States. Within this big war were separate wars. Their was about 50 wars within the Civil War. Each war was fought between the Confederate and Union. Their was many causes to the Civil War.
- Have You ever heard of the Civil War?
- Yes I have!
- Election of 1860- This was one of the causes to the Civil War. Was the election where Lincoln defeated 3 opponents to become president.
- Be good to us Mr. Lincoln!
- Be the best president ever Abraham!
- Slavery-When another human is owning someone else and making them do all their work. When slaves act up they are beaten. Slave also work for free.
- Keep Doing what I say!
- States Rights- belief that a state's sovereignty is more important than the national government. The U.S has many states rights.
- States rights are very important to our country!
- I am a U.S citizen and I can sue the government!
- Dred Scott Case- Ruling declaring slaves were not citizens of the U.S. It lived in free states.
- All rise, Mr. Scott you may speak.
- Missouri Compromise- An agreement passed by the U.S constitution. It brought Missouri in the Union as a slave sates and Maine in free.
- Thank you for making us free!
- Thanks for making us slaves.
