- In the end, the prisoners that are still trapped with their perceived reality's stay ignorant from the truth. Moreover, when their ignorance is pointed out, they become hostile to the one who bears true knowledge. The journey of the prisoner discovering the real world is similar to doing philosophy as it is an activity, hard work, the aim of it is freedom and it helps to examine our most basic assumptions. The climb out of the cave by the free prisoner allows him to gain true knowledge and all four points of doing philosophy applies to this journey, thus why the Allegory of the Cave is so important as it explains what philosophy really is.
- YEAH STAY AWAY FROM US! We will kill you if you try to free us and show us this terrible outside world

- Suddenly, the person walking by the fire forces the prisoner to come with him to the exit of the cave
- The prisoner who broke free from his chains noticed the fire that was behind him all along
- What is this? This is so bright that it burns my eyes! I have never seen anything like this before my whole life but it was behind me the whole time?
- He then began to see figures that were in the third dimension and also had colour when he saw them
- What are these moving objects? Why are they not all black like the figures I have seen on the wall? They also have a complex shape unlike the ones on the wall.
- A group of prisoners since birth have been confined in a cave since birth, They have a fire burning behind them; however, they face the opposite side, unable to turn their heads.
