- for a viking to have a trial they have to commit a crime. in this example a jarl was killed, so it is very serious.

- The blood eagle is a very grusome punishment. the blood eagle is performed by ripping opening the person back open and pulling the ribs away from the spine then pulling out their lungs through their ribs making it look like wings.for someone to have the blood eagle done to them they must have either killed a high ranking or doing something horrific.
- this is a very basic image of the bloody eagle.
- that punishment was horrible. no one deserves that.
- the bloody eagle was a really horrible punishment. not many people like it.
