- I just lost my job at the university! WAAAAAAAH!!!
- My small business just closed! We only sold 2 things today! We’re going to be homeless!! WAAAH!
- Contraction: Unemployment rises, GDP drops, and demand drops. Archibold lost his job because the university needs to save money. Olga’s store closed because of decrease in demand.
- We’re homeless! What are we going to do!
- I’m so sad! What if another homeless person beats us up!
- Peak: Unemployment is low, GDP is high and demand exceeds supply. Alfondo has secured a good job at the university and Olga’s small business cant keep up with demand.
- Trough: GDP is low, Unemployment is high, Inflation is high, demand is low. But things will get better soon. Archibold and Olga are effected because they lost their jobs and couldn’t pay rent and are now homeless.

- Peak: Unemployment is low, wages are high, demand is high, but y people are feeling uneasy about the future. Olga’s business cant keep up with demand and Archibold’s wage is high.
- Trough: Unemployment is very high, inflation is high, demand is low. Archibold and Olga are effected because they lost their jobs and columns afford their mortgage and are now homeless.
- Peak: Demand is very high, unemployment is low, GDP is high but consumers feel uneasy about the future.
