Welcome to my castle! I'm the King here in Medieval Europe and I'm going to be showing you a bit about the Feudal System and the social rankings.
First off in the social rankings is me, the King! In the feudal system, I run my manor - which is all the land I oversee. I also share the land with the church. The King is chosen by God, as the Divine Right Theory says. Also in the feudal system, everyone is a vassal to me!
These are the lords and nobles. They spend their luxurious lives partying and socializing. Most nobles have large homes and even small castles. I give the nobles fiefs, which then they loan out to the knights. In case the manor gets attacked, the Lords are in charge of organizing the army.
In the feudal system, there are vassals who are basically servants. The knights that live on the fiefs I give to the Lords are vassals to both me and the Lords. The knights spend all of their time training and have to be ready to protect the land!
The serfs help run my manor and castle. They provide the food supply, grow crops, and work for me in exchange for a small part of a fief. The serfs are vassals to everyone.

Here's a look at the social rankings altogether. I hope you enjoyed the tour of the feudal system and the social rankings!
