- Jesus heals a paralysed man
- Come on! We need to get there before the house gets to busy!

- I know! We can dig a hole through the roof and lower him in!
- One day Jesus went to a home in Capernaum. Lots of people who were sick went there when they heard that Jesus was there. They believed that Jesus would heal them. The house was crowded with all the sick people.
- look! Someone is coming through the roof!
- Your sins are forgiven. Take up your mat and walk.
- This paralysed man heard about Jesus being in town, so four of his friends brought him to see Jesus to be healed. Because he was paralysed, his friends had to carry him.
- I tell you, take up your mat and walk.
- The house was so full that the man and his friends couldn't get in. They then decided to break through the roof and lower the man through the hole.

- Jesus said that he was healed and could get up and walk but as he said that the teachers of the law were thinking 'Why does he think that he can forgive people's sins? Only God alone can do that'
- Jesus knew what thy were thinking because he knows everything. Some people were angry because Jesus healed the man on the Sabbath. The man was healed and walked away praising God.
- Only God can save your sins!
- This story teaches us that God always knows what is in our hearts and teaches us to have faith in Jesus. We need to be like the faithful friends who brought the man to Jesus and bring our friends to him too.
