Storyboard Text

  • How could it be possible that I am currently standing over the grave, the memorial of a student I taught just some days ago.
  • How could you do this God above? You have taken away the lives of amazing students, people who were just getting their lives started. They still had so much to see, so much to experience! You took that away from them!
  • Do not question God’s plans. Everything he does is to move forward on his path in restoring creation. Through his resurrection he will restore human flourishing which you may think has already been lost through this tragedy.
  • How could you expect me to believe that God is trying to restore “creation” by ripping away 17 innocent lives from their families?
  • This sense of brokenness is something that I have never felt before. Not only have I lost loved ones, but I have also lost myself and my relationship with God. Who do I call now for forgiveness when I believe that the forgiver is who caused all of this? How do I seek salvation when I believe that the savior has failed?
  • Time and faith. As you strengthen your relationship with God and allow yourself to live in union with him, you will begin to recognize the sacraments once again. You will begin to reformulate your beliefs with the new knowledge he will speak to you through divine revelation.
  • It is normal for someone to go through such things after being hurt. Just remember what these 17 lives would have wanted for you.
  • I am upset that I have become so alienated from God and from my own self.
  • I agree.
  • The tragedy that took place this past valentine's day was something so unfortunate that none of us will ever forget. But I know that through faith in myself, faith in god, and faith in others, myself and others will carry on their legacy forever.
