  • The Tennis Court Oath - June 20, 1789
  • Abolition of Feudalism - August 4, 1789
  • Guillotine - March 20, 1792
  • The Tennis Court Oath was mainly important to the members of the French Third Estate. This major event highlights the inequality during the time which still occurs today in various situations. The business during the meeting was to discuss about going against Louis XVI and attempting to gain more influence and popularity.
  • Execution of King Louis XVI - January 21, 1793
  • This Abolition of Feudalism was an important event during the French Revolution and broke new ground. It gave the peasants what they wanted, to be brought up, but in the meantime that meant that the upper classes dropped which didn't make some happy.
  • The Reign of Terror: Sep 5, 1793 - July 28, 1794
  • The Guillotine became popular during this time because death was not a super sensitive subject, therefore some deserved it and died. Multiple high respected people have died using the Guillotine, and another reason why it was used so often is because it was efficient and fast
  • Execution of Robespierre - July 27, 1794
  • The death of the king was important because called attention to his flaws when he was gone. By taking moments to reflect, many realized that Louis failed to solve Frances financial problems which caused many problems, and him as a person didn't strive to make France better, as it seemed like he only cared about himself.
  • This event took place over a year which is just one indicator that The Reign of Terror is important. Its purpose was to protect the country and preserved the Revolution. 300,000 suspects were arrested while 17,000 were executed, and 10,000 died in prison.
  • The Execution of Robespierre is a clear result of The Reign of Terror. Revolutionary leaders turned on Robespierre because of his strict rules, for example: everyone being called citizens instead of sir or madam, and shutting churches down to transform them into offices.
