Storyboard Text

  • My name is Mike, and 3 days ago I got stranded on an island surrounded by oceans. I am goin to show you what I know about the ocean biome.
  • The ocean biome has around 230 distinct biotic species . This crab is part of the 230 species.
  • Abiotic factors include sunlight and oxygen
  • I think mutualism is one of the three important and frequently used in this biome.
  • The ocean biome has warm weathers when you’re on land, but when you are in the ocean, only the top warms up from the sun. The rest of the ocean is cold and dark.
  • This type of biome has many different food chains. I’m going to try to catch some fish to eat.
  • Other biotic species include different types of fish, a sea horse, a turtle and a dolphin.
  • Hopefully I can make this palm tree into a little shelter until someone recuses me.

  • For example, a fish feeds off of a whale’s dirty skin and cleans the whale, while the fish gets food from it. Another type is when one fish eats the other. That’s called paratism.
  • 2 years later, and I’m still on the island. I have made a shelter. I survive off of catching fish and eating them.
  • The food chain above represents one of the many food chains in the ocean biome. At the bottom of this food chain is algae, then fish, then bigger fish and finally an jellyfish.
  • As Mike worked hard the last month, he made himself a nice shelter to live in until someone rescues him.
  • The end. By - Mikayla Barmeier
  • Did you know that an average depth of an ocean is around 12,400 feet deep.
  • Two years later, and I am still on the island, but I have made a nice home and live off of fish.
