- This dude is real sick. His blood is thin and can't clot so he could die real ez.
- Aleksey, get up you weirdo...who sits and stares like that....creepy.
- Yea no probs. I got mystical powers like a unicorn, so he'll be fine.
- Healing Aleksey
- So I've been giving this lil' dude massive amounts of aspirin bc idk but what do you think?
- Yeah lemme perform some wizardry but before I can start, can you stop using the aspirin 'cause it'll mess with my magic.
- Rasputin was introduced to the royal family in order to help heal Aleksey Nikolayevich, the heir to the throne. Aleksey was a hemophiliac, causing the smallest injury to be disastrous as he would lose heavy amounts of blood. Rasputin was sought out by Alexandra, the Tsar's wife. She was in charge of internal affairs within Russia. Soon, Rasputin would grow to be known widely among the nobility and common public.

- The Tsars explain to Rasputin that the reason he was there was to heal Aleksey from a disease called Hemophilia. It causes white blood cells to "thin out" of the bloodstream, in which case if someone gets a scar, they will suffer from excessive bleeding. This could be fatal to the young Tsarivan as he would be the next ruler in line for the throne, however if he dies, no one will be able to step up as Tsar.

- It's a said myth that Rasputin used mystical means in order to heal Aleksey from his Hemophilia. This has been disproven by some historians that say he simply demanded to lower Aleksey's aspirin intake before or during his 'healing rituals'. Aspirin is a known blood thinner, usually helping reduce blood clots, however, Aleksey's intake caused his blood flow to be dangerously close to hemophilia.
- Influence
- Later on, in the years proceeding Rasputin's bond with the royal Tsars and the public's knowledge of Rasputin's involvement, rumors arose easily about the relationship between him and the Tsarina. Within the Tsars, there were those who disapproved of Rasputin due to the influence thought to be held over the Tsars. Over time, the rumors overflowed the public, and many started to resent the Tsars for their irresponsible leadership.
- The assassination of Rasputin is known to be a desperate attempt at getting rid of the influence of the Tsars. He was led to Moika Palace by Pavlovich and Yussupov, where he was given cyanide-laced food. Rasputin survived the food poisoning but was shot at, and when he survived those shots, he ran out (according to some historians) and was shot and beaten again. He still survived and was thrown into a lake and he died from drowning.

- The influence Rasputin had over the Tsars - or at least the rumored influence he had - was enough to push some people to overthrow the Tsars. Among other factors, the public had viewed the royalty of Russia as irresponsible and arrogant to be running the country. Rasputin was an embodiment - to the Russian citizens - of the corruption of power within the government. The Russian Revolution was a result of the broken trust between the public and the imperial family.
