- The Virginia plan
- We're the larger state and we should get a say and put in however many votes want to!
- That's not fair because were the smaller state and obviously you guys are gonna over power us!
- What the Virginia plan was
- This was the Virginia plan, they were a huge state and thought it was fair the ratio of Virginia votes to New Jersey votes and every time they would win because the more people the more votes and it wasn't fair to anyone except Virginia because they were winning everything so obviously they didn't have a problem being the larger state.
- Since you guys are a larger state and the number of people aren't the same and unbalanced, the whole state should just have one say! One vote each state.
- The New Jersey plan
- Um no were winning and that's all that matters.
- What the New Jersey plan was
- The Virginia plan was that each state gets 1 vote because each state has different amount of people and the larger states would no matter what always win debates because more people = more votes, therefore there should only be 1 vote per state as that would only be fair.
- What was the great compromise?
- The great compromise was when the two states argued/disagreed in rules. New jersey thought the more people the more votes but Virginia being the smaller state claimed one state should have one vote or else every time we're always no matter what going to get overthrown/ out voted.
- What was the issue being debated?
- The issue being debated was votes and how they should word and what was actually fair.
