- The ice age was actually a really scary time where earth's climate repeatedly changed through cold and hot periods. Technically it was a time for "sweaters" but it was more intense as it involved our whole atmosphere. It wasn't just "chilly", it was freezing

- The stone age was a period of time when stones were used to make tools, builds homes, and used to hunt prey.

- Inquisition does mean questioning, but the Spanish inquisition was a period to maintain Jewish and Muslim allegiance to catholic.  
- In the Boer war, told long rambling stories designed to make the enemy nod off
