DNA is located in the Nucleus of the eukaryotic cell which has plant and animal cells. The role of DNA is in living organisms is to store all genetic material of cell. The shape of DNA is Double helix shape with two strands that are wound around like a zipper or a twisted ladder. The structure(s) of DNA are a large molecule, known as a nucleic acid, and made of smaller molecules called nucleotide.
The parts that are considered the backbone of DNA are the phosphate group, deoxyribose sugar, and nitrogenous base. The bond that is holding this together is the nitrogenous bases .
