- The Patriarch Abraham made a covenant promising that if he and family moved to Canaan, that one day this would be his descendants' promised land.\Years later a famine struck under Canaan Abraham’s grandson, Jacob and his family fled to Egypt.As the Hebrews / Israelite grew more numerous and Practiced monotheism a Pharaoh came mistrustful and enslaved them all.

- Moses was a Hebrew how was raised but the Pharaoh of Egypt.He wanted to leave the place because the Pharaoh was enslaving all of the Hebrews. The Pharaoh would not let the Hebrews out of slavery.

- One of the punishments was that a swarm of insects would come and sickness,then the One of the punishments was that a swarm of insects would come and sickness,then the last but worst was the Hebrews put lambs blood on the homes of the Hebrews as a sigh for the angel of death to skip over and kill the first born male in every home without the blood (just like what the Egyptians did to them) Moses told the other Hebrews to put lambs' blood over their doors so the angel of death would pass over their home.
