ENERGY from the sun is shot to the plant. The plant then turns the energy into glucose in the chloroplasts through photosynthesis
The plants use water, sunlight, and carbon dioxide to go through photosynthesis. Now we have some glucose and some left over oxygen for the gardener.
Us Mitochondria are busy making ATP. First we have to use the glycolysis and turn it into pyrubic acid and electrons and ATP. Next we're going to use the pyrubic acid and carbon dioxide to get 2 more ATP. Now we have 4 ATP!
Its too bad that photosynthesis is a light dependent reaction, because as the sun goes down, we can't make any more glucose!
At least we can start to make some ATP because the reaction for ATP is a light independent reaction.
Our plants need some energy to keep growing so they can make some fruits or vegetables.
Now we can use the electrons and oxygen to form 32 more ATP!!! We do this through the electron transport chain. The electron carriers help move the electrons. Now we have a total of 36 ATP ;) OH NO! we ran out of Glucose, so we can't make anymore ATP tonight :(, I guess well have to wait for tomorrow.
Let's use the oxygen and glucose that we got from photosynthesis and use it for making some ATP! We can get a lot of ATP from cellular respiration!
