  • PLEASE HAVE A SEAT IN THAT STOOL! I'm going to tell you about the science behind periods so that you hopefully will understand what's actually happening inside of the female body!
  • Then you will see why making fun of that young girl was completely cruel and utterly disrespectful of you!
  • ok....
  • It all starts with the female reproductive system.
  • In simple terms, yes.
  • Isn't that the system used to make babies?
  • The cervix is the lower portion of the uterus, which dilates during birth so that the baby can move through the vagina.
  • The female reproductive system primarily consists of the vagina, cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, and the ovaries.
  • The vagina is the canal that connects with the vulva of the uterus.
  • BABIES COME OUT OF VAGINAS !?
  • If an egg is not fertilized, and pregnancy does not occur, the uterine lining sheds! This is called a menstrual period, which is what that young girl was experiencing at school today!
  • Yes, they do. The uterus is actually the place where the baby is housed during pregnancy. It is located in the middle of the pelvic cavity.
  • And, during a females monthly menstrual cycle, the lining in the uterus thickens with blood in preparation for the release of an egg from the ovaries.
  • OH...MY..GOODNESS
  • The ovaries are egg-shaped organs that are attached to the fallopian tubes on both the left and right sides of the body. Along with producing eggs, the ovaries also produce hormones called estrogen and progesterone.
  • Oh yeah, and about menstrual periods...they can definitely be really painful at times. So instead of laughing at that young girl, maybe you should have helped her!!
  • Fallopian tubes are the tubes that connect the ovaries to the uterus. So, when the ovaries release an egg, the egg travels down the fallopian tubes towards the uterus for potential fertilization. Fertilized eggs should NEVER implant themselves in the fallopian tubes. That is very dangerous!
  • You're right mom. I'm going to apologize to her tomorrow.
  • Now do you understand that it was more than just blood? It is the beautiful nature of a woman's body.
  • Yes ma'am. I understand now. Thanks for teaching me mom!
