  • Voila!
  • Poof! I give you powers!
  • Oh boy! Did he really forget to give "man" some powers?!
  • HELP ME!
  • A clever titan, Prometheus, created all the living creatures known to man. Both land and water creatures. He imagined birds for the sky, fish for the sea, and animals for the land.
  • Zeus is mean, but my cousins will help me and my creations!
  • Mount Olympus
  • Prometheus' gentle brother, Epimetheus, was so curious in his brothers creations, that he wanted to join in. So he gave all the animals powers. He gave the weak animals speed so they could outrun their predator, slow creatures he gave strength, he gave sharp claws and beaks to some creatures, some creatures he gave big or small size.
  • Here you go Cousin. Arts, Crafts & FIRE will do the trick!
  • Prometheus and Epimetheus came across a naked and helpless man. Epimetheus stood there with tears in his eyes just looking at the man praying that everything would be ok. Prometheus asked Epimetheus "There isn't anything left for man is there?" Epimetheus shook his head yes with tears in his eyes as he realized the mistake he made. Prometheus loved the man. He would do anything to let him survive.
  • Gotta take all this knowledge back to Earth!
  • The next night, Prometheus climbed Mount Olympus, where his uncle Zeus and other immortal gods lived. The lord of Olympus would not help Prometheus. Zeus' children, Hephaestus and Athena were also creators. Prometheus quickly went to their workshop.
  • Hesphaestus and Athena risked their fathers wrath to help Prometheus. Quietly, they taught Prometheus their ways of arts and crafts. As a gift, Hephaestus gave Prometheus fire so that mortals could use their new knowledge.
  • Prometheus returned to Earth expecting to be a great teacher. He taught people to understand the environment, to calculate, to read and write, to build houses and sailing ships, and to tame wild animals for food, labor, and protection. He showed them treasures like copper and iron, gold and silver. He taught them with fire on how treasures could improve their lives.
