- He was unpopular because he ignored a petition he agreed to and was trying to enforce more rituals to the Church. So this made people angry.
- Restoration of the Stuart Monarchy

- People who agreed with the kings power and people who didn't,(Claviers and Round-heads) fought. The Round-heads won and then went to overthrow
- Glorious Revolution
- He was overthrown and then found guilty, he was beheaded, this horrified Europe.
- English Bill of rights
- Charles son became the King after The Monarchy was restored. But the problem was that Charles started pushing out ideas that were out of step
- James II fled the battle and there was hardly any casualties. It was called the Glorious revolution because hardly anyone fought because he fled.
- where both the King and queen signed the bill so that it put limits on their power. They ruled together.
