- Before climbing the ladder, Sharmane asks her friend to hold it for her. Because her friend is holding the ladder for her, it is more sturdy and keeps accidents from happening.

- Sharmane wears safety goggles while working with wood. This protects her eyes from splinters and dust from the wood. She doesn't need to worry about going blind.
- Take Off Jewelry
- When using a loud power tool, Sharmane wears ear plugs. This protects her ears from the loud noises.
- Wear Mask when painting
- Sharmane asks her friend to help her carry a heavy object. Because she asked for help, she won't drop the object and hurt herself or damage the object.
- Before going to the theater to build, Sharmane puts her jewelry. Now when she's building, her jewelry won't get caught on the tools she's using.

- When painting, Sharmane wears a mask to protect her from inhaling paint fumes which can lead to headaches, dizziness, and nausea.
