Storyboard Text

  • photosynthesis begins when sunlight is in my path.
  • Then the plant takes in the carbon dioxide and sucks up water with its roots.
  • once the sun reaches me the Chlorophyll captures the sun’s energy and uses it to make sugars out of carbon dioxide from the air, and water from its roots. The sugar fuels my roots, systems, and leaves so I can grow. The process is called photosynthesis.
  • Photosynthesis happens in the leaves. Leaves have tiny pores called stomata, that let the carbon dioxide enter the leaves.
  • Plant cells contain tiny structures called chloroplasts that contain chlorophyll.
  • Oxygen is then released from my stomata. The extra glucose is stored in the form of starch for later usage.
