- Denial 
- Jeffrey gets everything,I am the unlucky one!
- Anger
- THANKS FOR MAKING ME FEEL BAD!
- Bargaining
- If I hit this,Jeffrey will be okay!
- Steven didn't want to believe that Jeffrey had cancer. He would tell himself that Jeffrey was having the time of his life,and eating everything possible. Steven kept saying how he was the  one with the problems not Jeffrey.
- Depression
- Steven was on the bus with Annette when she asked how his brother was,and he freaked out on her. He started telling her how she made him feel bad,and feel like a terrible person.
- Acceptance 
- Steven would always bargain with God to try and make Jeffrey okay. No matter what he was doing he would always try to bargain and make the cancer go away. 
- 5 stages
- Steven was in depression and didn't feel like doing anything. In school he would just zone out,and think about something else.
- Another day I didn't do my homework.
- Jeffrey and Steven started playing this game with the people that would come and visit. They would see if they were happy or sad. This allowed Steven to enjoy his time with Jeffrey.
- I bet they are going to be happy!
- Steven changed differently through the stages,and started to think and do things differently.
