- Pineda was sent to sail to the gulf of Mexico ,and was known as the first European to observe the Texas coast. Pineda never got to finish his mission cause Cortes 's men arrested Pineda 's men

- Cortes was sent to present day Mexico.As soon as the aztecs saw cortes's and his men the aztecs thought they were gods cause of their horses,firearms,and metal armor.With the help of the Aztecs,Cortes and his group overthrew the aztecs.

- Cabeza built boats to sail back to mexico but the boats were caught in a hurricane and ships were wrecked on Galveston island
- Coronado and more than a 1000 men went to go search for the city of gold.Along the way the discovered the grand canyon,the pacific ocean,and palo duro canyon,but no gold.

- La Salle was a famous french explorer who had explored the Mississippi river.La Salle and the colonists set out with four ships and lost two on the way.When he went to Mexico to get supplies his group got attacked by the Karankawas and only 45 out of 400 survived.La Salle and 7 other survivors left for french canada but along the way la salle was killed by his own men
