- Maturation is set ways of behavior that occur as a child grows throughout his or her whole life, such as a child getting aware of his/her appearance.

- Object Permanence
- Object permanence is when a child understands that an object is there even if they cannot see or touch the object, like the child cannot see or touch  the man but she knows it is there.
- I know there is a man following at me!
- The critical period for a child during cognitive development is when a child is most vulnerable to learning, such as talking being important before they are five years old.
- Critical Periods
- I have been falling inlove  since I was 17 years old.
- Assimilation is when a new idea is found and has to be able to fit into what someone already knows, like a child learning they cannot touch the stove when it is on but can if it is safe and off.
- Assimilation
- I cannot touch the stove when it is turned on!
- Accommodation is creating new space for those new found ideas such as, a child knowing the stove cannot be touched because if it is red it means that it is turned on and hot.
- Accommodation
- If the stove lights up red that means I cannot touch it.
- Adolescene can able to think their future, what they are going to pursue and o achieve.
