  • A school boy starts walking along the wall that divides Palestine and Israel. The weather is hot and dry, there is no sound other than the breeze from the wind.
  • The Climax
  • The little Israeli boy named Nathan is walking to school when he sees a soccer ball fall from the other side of the wall, he looks scared and kicks the ball back over the wall. After a kicking it back and forth Nathan hears a whistle, he walks up to the small hole and meets a boy from the other side named Khaled
  • Falling Action 
  • Nathan and Khaled continue to see each other everyday by playing games with each other through the wall. Nathan draws pictures about them and thinks about Khaled all the time. He begins to think about telling other about his new friendship with the boy from the other side of the wall.
  • Conclusion
  • While Nathan is at school he gets news that terrorists may have infiltrated the kibbutz. The whole school locks down but Nathan gets loose and runs to the wall to alert Khaled. After Nathan tells Khaled the news they both run home to their families.
  • Nathan and his family watch the news regarding the terrorist attacks,. They learn about an attack at a kindergarten school in Sderot and Nathan begins to get worried about hearing the deaths in Palestine. Nathans father celebrates the death of the Palestinians which makes Nathan understand how wrong his relationship with Khaled was.
  • Nathan returns to the wall and realizes the hole that he and Khaled used to communicate has been patched up. Nathan leaves in silence and walks with his head down with the understanding that he may never see Khaled again.
