- The wedding of Thetis and Peleus was a joyful affair. All of the Olympian gods and goddesses were invited to the wedding... oh, except for Eris, Goddess of Strife. No one wants to see a fight at a wedding, am I right?

- Prince Paris travels to Sparta under the pretense of visiting with King Menelaus. Paris meets Helen and true to her word, Aphrodite causes their romance to bloom. Paris convinces Helen to leave Sparta with him, and the pair escape to the city of Troy.Menelaus claims Paris has kidnapped Helen. He begs his brother, King Agamemnon of Mycenae, to gather the leaders of the Greek islands to form an army and rescue his wife. A declaration of war soon follows.
