- One beautiful spring morning in Whistler, in a coffe shop Nick a travel writer met a beautiful woman named Jan, they chatted and drank coffee. When Jan was supposed to leave, she grabbed Nick's face, kissed him and said "Goodbye, drive safely Mr. Hollywood" He didn't understand why Jan called him that, he just looked at her. Behind Nick's table, a tall, thin, white-haired man was watching him.

- Nick went for a walk in the city and it was almost dark, he reached a busy street and waited to cross the street next to him there was a tall woman in a blue dress, she smiled at him. Suddenly Nick feels a hand pushing him into the street, he falls on his face and the woman pushes him out of the way and pulls him off his feet. Nick sees from behind him a thin man with very short white hair. Nick remembers it was the man from the coffee shop. Nick returns to his hotel, he hasn't slept all night.
- THE HOTEL IN VANCOUVER
