- Two households, both alike in dignity, In fair Verona where we lay our scene, From ancient grudge break to new mutiny, Where civil bloods make civil hands unclean. From forth the fatal lions of these two foes, A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life; Whose misadventured piteous overthrows, Do with their death bury their parents' strife. The fearful passage of their death mark'd love, And the continuous of their parents' rage, Which, but their children's end, nought could remove, Is now the two hours' traffic of our stage; The which if you with patient ears attend, What here shall miss, our toil strive to end.

- Capulet + Montague servants arguing in the streets
- Not if we kill you first!
- Romeo is a Montague, while Juliet is a Capulet, and despite their families feud, they are still in love. However, it must remain a secret, and they can never truly be together as long as the feud remains.
- O, that I were a glove upon that hand that I might touch that cheek!
- Oh Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?
- Tybalt (laying dead) killed Mercutio, Romeo's friend, and in revenge for his friend, Romeo kills Tybalt, now his cousin in law but unbeknownst to anyone except Friar Laurence and the two star cross'd lovers. The Prince recognizes that Tybalt killed first and has mercy for Romeo not sentencing him to death, but banishing him from Verona.
- For Romeo...
- Juliet took a sleeping potion that will imitate death for 42 hours. But before she could wake up, Romeo arrived at her tomb in despair carrying a vile of poison ready to end his life. He took the poison dying almost instantly, and when Juliet woke up she was upset that there was none left for her to take. She had her backup plan with her however, stabbing herself with a dagger ending the story of the two lovers. Because of their children's love for each other the Capulets and Montagues ended their feud.
