- Grades factor in behavior, and achievement orientation, while standardized tests show students knowledge gains. By using both to evaluate, you can get a good idea of student outcomes.

- But, in the same study it was shown that grades and tests predictability varied by subject, so they are not good indicators. Also, tests content are limited and do not take into account everything learned. Different standards aren't included most popular tests, like the ACTs you just took.

- Well, tests like the ACT and SATs usually use widely taught content. The behaviors students learn to keep their grades tests scores up translate into their life after high school. Skills like studying, researching, perseverance, are very important to future success.
