  • What is geography? Geography is the study of the earth’s landscapes, peoples, places and environments. It is, quite simply, about the world in which we live. Geography is unique in bridging the social sciences (human geography) with the natural sciences (physical geography) .
  • What is agriculture?
  • Agriculture It consists of the production of certain types of plants that provide foods and raw materials to the population.
  • Location Most geographic study begins with learning the location of places. Location can be absolute or relative. Absolute location provides a definite reference to locate a place. The reference can be latitude and longitude, a street address, or even the township and Range system. Relative location describes a place with respect to its environment and its connection to other places.
  • Oceans Oceans cover about 70% of the Earth's surface. The oceans contain roughly 97% of the Earth's water supply.
  • Continents The major land masses of the earth. According to tradition most people speak of seven continents on the planet. However, geologically there are six large distinct land masses on the earth so many geographers and scientists refer to six.
  • Commerce That it consists of the interchange of diverse products of work.
  • RegionRegion divides the world into manageable units for geographic study. Regions have some sort of characteristic that unifies the area. Regions can be formal, functional, or vernacular.
