- This land is filled with greenery! The water does not taste very good though.

- Its very dry here.
- The Americans bought land from the French, because the French needed money. The Americans had no idea what exactly the land would be like, they just bought it.

- This part of the land is dry.
- When Lewis and Clark explored Kansas they found that that the land was filled with greenery, but the water was unpleasant.
- Jackson's speech
- Zebulon Pike explored the west part of Kansas and found that the land was very dry and not suitable for farming.

- Stephan explored the west side of Kansas like Zebulon did and also found that it was dry.
- Jackson wanted to remove the native Americans from Kansas.
- The Americans moved the native Americans because they did not want them there.
