- King James II assigns multiple Catholic members to the high office, which angers the Parliament. When they protested, King James II dissolves the Parliament in 1687
- The act of Settlement
- ALL KINGS AND QUENS SHALL ONLY BE PROTESTANT FROM NOW ON!
- Mary's spouse, William of Orange, a prince of the Netherlands, stormed London in the 1688 with his army in a coup, which saw King James II flee the country for France. This passive overthrow was known as the Glorious Revolution.

- The Act of Settlement is an Act of the Parliament of England that settled the succession to the English and Irish crowns to only Protestants, which passed in 1701
- Anne was the sister of Mary, the daughter of James II. She gave birth to 17 children, but tragically all of them died before she became queen.
