- Today is Eddie's 83rd bithday
- Eddie meets the Blue Man
- Captain takes Eddie back to the war
- Eddie runs into to the barn
- Eddie meets Ruby
- It's Eddie's birthday. He is 83 years old today. Eddie is a maintenance worker at Ruby Pier. He likes to keep to himself, but will make little animals out of his pipe cleaners. Eddie is killed saving a young girl from Freddy's Free Fall.
- Ruby takes Eddie to her pier
- The second person Eddie meets in heaven is the Blue Man who explains to Eddie that all stories are connected. The Blue Man tells him that Eddie ran into the street to chase a baseball. The Blue Man swerved to miss Eddie, but ended up having an anxiety attack and dying in a car accident.
- Eddie meets his wife
- The second person Eddie meets in heaven is the Captain. The Captain, Eddie and a few other soldiers were captured in WW II. Months later, Eddie used juggling he had learned at Ruby Pier to distract the enemy and escape. As they set fire to the enemy's camp, Eddie believes he sees a shadow in the barn.
- Eddie meets his last person Tala
- Eddie ran to the barn to save the little girl. Eddie finds out in heaven, that it was the Captain who shot him and not the enemy. Eddie was upset with the Captain, because it hindered his future with one bad leg. Eddie soon realizes that you have to lose the ability to walk, but in return you have your life.
- Tala tells Eddie to clean her with a rock
- The third person Eddie meets in heaven is Ruby. Ruby takes Eddie to the beach where Ruby and her husband had planned to make an amusement park all for themselves. If they never build it, Eddie would have never worked at Ruby Pier. Ruby also shows Eddie how his dad became sick. Ruby teaches Eddie forgiveness.
- Eddie returns to Ruby Pier
- Ruby tells Eddie that there was a fire at the amusement park and her husband didn't have insurance to fix it so they sold it to a company who made it a public amusement park and kept the name Ruby Pier. Eddie learns from Ruby how his dad became sick saving Mickey Shea who had just tried to rape his mother.
- The fourth person Eddie meeting in heaven is his wife Marguerite. Eddie tells her about all the people he has met. We learn that Eddie was sad after Marguerite passed away, but she teaches him that love never ends.
- Eddie meets the fifth person in heaven. Her name is Tala. Eddie realizes that Tala is the girl in the fire that he unknowingly killed. Tala was the shadow he saw the night he was shot by the Captain. Tala had Eddie wash her with a rock, which cleans her from her burns.
- Eddie is sad though, he feels like he did nothing in his life. She tells him that his purpose in life was to keep the children safe at Ruby Pier, and that Eddie saved Amy or Annie from Freddy's Free Fall as Tala pulled Eddie into heaven.
- Eddie gets to choose where he wants to be in heaven. He chooses to go Ruby Pier to be with Marguerite who is waiting for him. Eddie is shown a vision of all the boys and girls he saved for making sure the rides were safe.
