- Elena and Josephs first Meet
- Back in the days , when the Marianas were ruled by Spain , there lived two families . They were raged with anger towards each other . They had beef with each other for so long (it started every since with their ancestors ) they've forgotten the reason behind the hatred . They weren't able to talk or interact with each other or it'd be a disgrace .
- Joseph and Elena's bond
- One family consisted of a mother , a father , 6 boys , and 1 girl . The mother died , and the responsibilities of a mother was Elena's ( the daughter / only girl ) responsibility ,and she took pride in it . One day the father and her brothers were going fishing and she made them lunch . She wished them luck and went to the church to pray .
- Rumors and disconnection
- As Elena walked to the church , Joseph watches her . He see's her kneel down and pray to three statues . As she walks out He runs up to her and talks to her for the first time . She wanted to talk to him too , but again it'd be a disgrace to their families . So they Planned to leave each other notes behind one of the statues and write to each other everyday .
- Birth of the Flame Tree
- Since then , they would always write to each other and go to the church everyday to recieve and leave their lovely notes . Not only did Joseph found her attractive , caring , and loving but so did Elena. She saw him as strong hardworking and kind .#JOLENA4LIFE
- Because they went to the church almost everyday , the priest even noticed . The towns people have noticed and rumors started to spread . The rumors spread fast and the father then knew . The brothers were furious too , and the father scolded Elena and said for her to stop being a disgrace . They continued to meet but at the way back of their house next to the garden in the darkest of night . Joseph gave Elena a white neck wear that was his grandmothers , then he left .
- One night , the brothers followed her out to the garden , because they knew something was off . Elena sat down next to their meet spot and heard a rustle in the bushes . The brothers charged at the bush with their machettes and blood was every where . It was a boar . They argued then left . The boy came and thought they killed Elena so he killed himself with a white petal on his chest . Elena came and saw , then killed herself too . All the flowers turned red , then the families only now undrstood that their hatred covered up the love and that it was selfish . That was the Miracle that happened and thats how the "Flame Tree " came to be ....
