- A survivor stand 50 m away from a building. If the angle of elevation is 45 degrees what is the height of the building?
- tan 45 = h / dtan 45 = h / 501 = h / 501 x 50 = hh = 50 m
- We need to go to the building that is 50 m high

- It’s the zombie apocalypse and all survivors need to go to the building at a certain height so zombies won't be able to climb and bite the remaining survivors...

- I see my brother down from the building of 50 m. If the angle of depression is 40 degrees I need to know how far is my brother away from the building
- As survivors were able to go to the building safely amidst all the zombies charging their wait

- tan 40 = h / dtan 40 = 50 / d0.84 = 50 / d0.84 x 50 = dd = 42 m Then, my brother is 42 m away from the building

- But in order to survive .. the survivors need to test a theory if zombies melt away due to intense heat from the sun…. Will they be afraid of their shadow? Will the lamp in the building act as a conductor for the heat?
- tan 67 = h / dtan 67 = 14 / d2.4 = 14 / d2.4 x 14 = dd = 34 ftTherefore, the lenght of the shadow is 34 ft.
- A 14 feet lamp cast a shadow by the sun. If the angle of elevation is 67, I need to know the length of the shadow
- The survivors was able to repel the shark and they can now go into the submarine wishing that it will have a food supplies for them to survive until the apocalypse is over.

- “We need to try to go to the submarine we saw on our way here,”
- Alas, it was not successful as more survivors turned into zombies. The sun even turned them into a more rabid and vicious breed of zombies. The remaining survivors must get away.
- “ We will be safe there until this apocalypse is over"
- They made a dash in the streets filled with the walking dead and finally, they reached the submarine. When they were going to the submarine they were surprised because there was a shark near the submarine and they were afraid that it might attack them when they went there, so they had to measure how far is the whale from the submarine.
- tan 89 = h / dtan 89 = 20 / d57 = 20 / d57 x 20 / dd = 1140 ftNow I know that the whale is 1140ft away from the submarine.
- I noticed that the whale is 20 ft deep near the base of the sub. If the angle of depression is 89 degrees, I need to know how far is the whale from the submarine.
- Thank God and we can now go to the submarine! I wish there is a enough food supplies there that we can use to survive until this apocalypse is over.
- Now that I've driven away the shark, I can say that we are now safe to go into the submarine.
- This story will teach you that math can be use in a different ways and it will help you to overcome a problem in life.
