  • They relocated to a nearby indoor tennis court after being barred from their usual meeting location at Versailles on June 20, 1789, and believing that the king was pressuring them to disband. They pledged they would not divide until France had a written constitution.
  • The Reign of Terror
  • Our town's people have been going through some difficult and frightening times. This is known as the Reign of Terror, which was brought about by the terrible Maximilien Robespierre.
