- The body was shriveled and dehydrated so the embalmers would stuff the empty body with sawdust & linen to bring back the original shape.
- Then we oil the skin to soften it. We add false eyes and a wig to make the corpse looks more lifelike.
- The whole body is wrapped in layers of linen and bandages.
- A face mask was made and put on the head of the body then was placed into a wooden case but if the person were rich they were put into a stone sarcophagus.
- The expensive way was the mummies were buried with items they needed for the after life.
- Less expensive way for mid classes or avoid expensive way involved the body being injected with oil, then packed with Natron for 70 days and given back to the family.
