An oligarchy is a government system where the power is in the hands of a small group of elite and wealthy citizens. The people ruling in an oligarchy are usually from the wealthier side of the middle class of a society.
A direct democracy is a government ruled by the people of a civilization. A direct democracy aims to allow the voices of citizens to be heard and valued, and takes into account their desires for the state of the civilization rather than having power concentrated into one individual.
