  • The weather has a huge impact on your safety while participating in an activity/sport/workout. Regardless of whether it is hot or cold outside, it is important to wear clean, appropriate clothing for the weather that is also appropriate for the activity/sport/workout you will be participating in.
  • In previous modules, you learned about the caloric balance. The caloric balance is a comparison between the number of calories you consume through food and drink and the number of calories your body burns through physical activity and keeping your body functioning.
  • In previous modules, you learned about the importance of physical activity to your overall wellness. You know that exercising is important, but what about healthy eating? If you are active, why can't you eat anything that you want? This module will address these types of questions. No one food contains all of the nutrients necessary for a healthy lifestyle. Good nutrition requires that the proper balance and quantities of essential nutrients are obtained from a variety of food combinations.
