Storyboard Text

  • China was formed along the 2 essential rivers/great rivers. The yellow river and the Yangtze river. Around 8,000 BCE, people started farming millet and rice. These give farmers advantage to farm because these rivers help the growth of their crops.
  • Till the farmers got a problem, the yellow river. It is also called China’s sorrow because this river has the terrible habit of flooding suddenly, which drives people to death,
  • but One person got survived this flood, it is Yu, Yu the engineer. He spent 13 years traveling and encountering the flood. Yu find ways and brainstormed about what he can do with his home. He built canals that led the excess water into the field to prevent flooding until he gets to be a king because of his impressive projects, and that was the start of the first Dynasty,
  • The Xia Dynasty, which exists around 2070 BCE. Xia Dynasty is more on spreading, spreading cultures, and working/connecting together. Silk cultivation is followed by farming or the start of the rising of Ancient China.
  • Starting 16th century BCE, the Chinese learned how to create bronze by mixing tin, lead, and copper. Warriors started to use a new Eurasian import called the chariot and used their fancy bronze weapons and clobbered the Shire to death, and that’s where they found the Shang dynasty. at the shine capital of Anyang archeologists, they’ve broken up tens of thousands of oracle bones. Oracle bones were used for divination. This dynasty is where the Writing system was invented.
  • Zhou dynasty which divided into two parts, Western and Eastern. This Dynasty has fallen but it gives a lot of improvement and contributions to the culture. They had more power increment of their popularity which was more decentralized until they got defeated by the Qin and that was the start of the Chinese Empire.
