  • For robbery and possession of a firearm.
  • What's the arrest?
  • Okay. Does the defendant have anything they would like to say?
  • No your honor.
  • Alright then, Are you posting bail?
  • Yes, $200,000
  • Alright, $200,000  bail, if you cannot pay that then you'll sit in jail. The court date is June 4th. You are dismissed.

  • Miss, Do you have evidence?
  • Yes. The defendant was found with the same gun used at the robbery 2 months ago in his apartment. After we also found a receipt for the bullets the defendant used the day before. More evidence will be presented at the trial.
  • How does the defendant plead?
  • Not guilty.
  • Okay. Trail date is June 20th, you'll have right to a jury.
  • Cases and evidence is being collected for both sides, and jurors are being chosen.
  • I want to offer your client a plea bargain. He's looking at almost 20 years. If he pleas guilty then I could get him 10.
  • Then we'll stand trial. But if I win and the jury finds you guilty then you go to jail for the sentence the judge finds right.
  • What if we decide not to?
