  • Oh wow! Yes sure.
  • The first three main languages of the Sikkim state are Nepali, Bhotia and Lepcha. Nepali is spoken by the majority of the population and is the lingua franca of Sikkim. Some of the fairs and festivals of Sikkim are:Losoong / Namsoong Festival, Jorethang Maghey Mela, Sonam Lhochhar Festival, Losar Festival.Bumchu Festival, Dentam Rhododendron Festival, Ram Navami Festival, Lampokhari Paryatan Mahotsav. BakhuThe Kho or is a traditional dress worn by Bhutia, ethnic Sikkimese people of Sikkim and Nepal. It is a loose, cloak-style garment that is fastened at the neck on one side and near the waist with a silk or cotton belt similar to the Tibetan chuba and to the Ngalop gho of Bhutan, but sleeveless.
  • The people of Sikkim are warm, simple and friendly with a nature gaiety. The customs and rituals of Sikkim are as diverse as the ethnic that inhabit the land ; the 'Lepchas' — essentially children of the forest , the 'Bhutias' and the 'Nepalese'. The people of Sikkim love to celebrate. The people of Sikkim consist of three ethnic groups, that is, Lepcha, Bhutia and Nepali. Hindu Temples coexist with Buddhist Monasteries, Churches, Masjid and Gurudwaras. The predominant Communities are Lepchas, Bhutias and Nepalese.
  • Thank you so much Mrs. Shorbiya for conveying this information in a very gentle and understandable way.
