- is about the life of a young man from Salamanca who, because of his humble origins, has to work for others as a servant.

- First deal( the blind)
- the first treaty is with a blind man who helped him to do many things lazarillo took advantage of him until he realized and hit him
- Secon deal ( the clergyman)
- lazaro is now with a clergyman where he gives mass he thought he would do better but he is still mistreated by the clergyman.
- Third deal (squire)
- moves to Toledo and there he will meet a squire who will give him the opportunity to work as his servant. The young man believes that he is a rich man and with him he will not starve, but when he arrives at the squire's bedroom he sees that this man lives in absolute poverty and that with his clothes and bearing the only thing he wants to do is to keep up appearances.
- Deal four
- Fourth deal (the Friar of La Merced)
- The squire's neighbors help Lazaro find a new master to serve: the Friar of La Merced. He was a religious man who loved to take walks, hike and discover new places.
- Lazaro's master is a buldero, a civil servant who worked in the service of the church. However, although this is his primary job, the truth is that he is nothing more than a swindler who is in cahoots with the bailiff to make money by selling bulls,
