- Because of the rich soil having a long growing season they had abundance of their cash crops of tobacco and cotton crops. And so there was a need for some slaves.
- Transporting the African Americans to different places, (there trading them for weapons or just buying them to do work or torture them)
- As they they start buying from the evil man for the Africans, He'll keep doing to different colonies.
