- It was 51 BC. Ptolemy XII just passed away, and Cleopatra VII has become Co-Regent along with her brother. She was an astute politician and was fluent in many languages, so she was able to establish diplomatic relations with ease as well as pull Egypt out of bankruptcy.
- CLIMAX
- Sometime during Cleopatra's rule, the fateful encounter between Cleopatra and Julius Caesar occurred. Julius Caesar was charmed by Cleopatra's beauty, and so they became lovers. Eventually, Cleopatra would bear his child Caesarion, although Caesar never publicly acknowledged him as his son.
- FALLING ACTION
- In 41 BC after Caesar's assassination, Mark Antony was in dispute with Caesar's adopted son Octavian over the succession of Roman Leadership. He meets Cleopatra and forms a political and romantic alliance with her.
- RESOLUTION
- Antony and Cleopatra joined forces to take on Octavian at Actium. It was a fierce sea battle.
- AAAA!!!!
- However, despite joining forces, Octavian in the end proved victor. Cleopatra and Antony attempted to flee, but Octavian captured Alexandria.
- Unable to escape or retaliate, Cleopatra and Antony both resorted to suicide. Antony stabbed himself with his sword and Cleopatra poisoned herself with what was believed to be a venomous snake. Octavian ordered for both her and Antony to have a proper burial, and Egypt became a part of Rome.
