Storyboard Text

  • Act I
  • "Oh, she is rich in beauty, only poor that when she dies, with beauty dies her store"
  • "Be ruled by me. Forget to think of her"
  • Act II
  • "O, speak again, bright angel, for thou art as glorious to this night, being o'er my head"
  • "O Romeo. Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse they name; or, if thou will not, be but sworn by love, and I'll no longer be a Capulet!"
  • Act III
  • "This shall determine that."
  • "Tybalt, here slain, whom Romeo's hand did slay, Romeo, that spoke him, fair, bid him bethink how nice the quarrel was, and urged withal your high displeasure"
  • "Benvolio, who began this bloody fray?"
  • I chose this scene because this is when Romeo decides to forget about Rosaline and see if there are any more fish at the Capulet party.
  • Act III
  • "But fettle your fine joints 'gainst Thursday next to go with Paris to Saint Peter's Church"
  • I used this scene for Act II because if Juliet didn't speak her love for Romeo, Romeo would've not made a move.
  • Act IV
  • "Take thou this vial, being then in bed, and the distilled liquor drink thou off"
  • For this Act, this was one of the most important scenes, and I chose this scene because Romeo is now exiled and he cannot see his one and only love.
  • Act V
  • This scene from Act III was also important because Juliet is already married to Romeo, so she has to think of a plan to not marry Paris.
  • "Good father, I beseech you on my knees, hear me with patience but to speak a word.
  • When the Friar gives Juliet a vial, this changes the rest of the story. Also, this can be the climax of the story because Paris and Romeo both think she's dead and that is why they both died.
  • "Thou shalt continue two and forty hours, and then awake as from a pleasant sleep"
  • "O, bid me leap, rather than marry Paris"
  • Finally, I used this scene for Act V. This scene played an important part because a lot of characters have now died. The prince is also trying to explain the mistakes that they have caused from their conflict.
  • "Then I'll be brief. O Happy dagger!"
  • "Look, and thou shalt see."
