- Fox and Wolf are long-time friends. There was never a task too big that the other couldn't ask for help
- One day, Fox and Wolf met Squirrel, who was new to the area. Fox and Squirrel became very close, very quickly. Wolf, on the other hand, was a more skeptical.
- While Fox was preparing to leave for vacation, he asked Squirrel to watch over his plants
- Wolf tried to warn Fox about being too trusting of those he just met over friends he's known for years, but his warning fell on deaf ears. 
- While Fox was on vacation, Squirrel neglected Fox's plants and they quickly died
- When Fox returned, he felt stupid for not having listened to his best friend
