A knight who thought of himself as good, kind, and loving. He did all the things that good, kind, and loving knights do (Fisher 1).
I have to come to save you
Save me!!
You are so afraid, said merlin. Of course, that is why you put on the armor in the first place (Fisher 13).
That is why you put the armor on.
Soon it downed on him that he needed Christopher, too more than he loved him(Fisher 51).
I have neglected my family
This text supports my theme because he thinks this of himself because he believes that's what a knight should be. Trying to prove himself by doing these actions.
He stopped short as he uttered these words, realizing he had lived his whole life in a way that he believed would make people like him (Fisher 54).
My whole life....
This text supports my theme because it tells us the knight has always been scared/afraid. To protect himself from getting emotionally hurt and judged.
The knight threw back his head and laughed with pure joy. Looking ahead he could see the top of the mountain. The path appeared to be steeper than it had been, but it didn't matter nothing could stop him now (Fisher 69 ).
Nothing can stop me now!!!
This text supports my theme because this shows that he needed his son and to feel his love because he didn't have love for himself.
For indeed, the knight was the brook. He was the moon. He was the sun. He could be all these things and more, because he was one with the universe he was love (Fisher 74).
I am now finally free of my armor
This text evidence is explaining how his whole he has been living a facade because he thought people would like if he didn't act like him self.
This evidence is a way of showing his growth of him loving and believing in himself even though the path may be Tougher he now has confidence.
This shows us his journey and him now loving himself and others and not living for anyone else expect him. He now knows what love is and becoming one with himself.
