  • Hello students, can you tell me who is the Frank and Lillian Gilbreth?
  • They studied body motions to increase production, reduce fatigue, and instruct operators in the best method of performing an operation.
  • Is creators of the current Motion Study Technique, described as the study of body motions utilised in executing an operation in order to optimise the operation by eliminating extraneous motions, reducing necessary actions, and determining the most efficient motion sequence.
  • After that, what they do? and why Lillian Gilbreth important?
  • They also created the Cyclegraphic analysis and Chronocyclegraphic Analysis tools for analysing an operator's motion pathways.
  • They developed the technique of filming motion that knows as Micro-Motion study.
  • Lilian was dead in 1972 at the age of 93.
  • Lilian, who had received a PhD in Psychology and had been a more than equal colleague, continued on her own after Gilbreth's death (at the age of 55), developing the concept of job simplification, particularly for the physically handicapped.
